"C" Card

Going on about the daily business of life can be difficult for those going through treatment and even after as they adjust to side effects they may be experiencing. Personally, I found "playing the c(ancer) card" helpful in making my life a little bit easier. I'd like to thank all those who let me move to the head of the line, helped me pack and take my groceries to my car, gave up their seat, served me first, etc. when I felt the need to "play the c card."

In honour of the physical and emotional battle so many cancer patients go through, a portion of proceeds from the sale of Oh Silk! scarves will be donated to cancer-related research and support programs each year.

Current Cause

Algoma Hospice  Sault Ste. Marie, ON

The Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) is a 10-bed home away from home for dying persons and their families. ARCH provides compassionate care for dying individuals who can no longer be cared for at home, who do not need the complex care of an acute care hospital nor wish to die there, and support for their families.  As the Hospice is not fully funded by the government, it depends on donations to maintain their services. Donations can be made by phone, in person, or mail at ARCH, 229 Fourth Line West, RR #3, Sault Ste. Marie, ON  P6A 5K8.
